Visiting Caloocan and Las Pinas

During my time in the Philippines, I had the opportunity to travel to Caloocan and Las Piñas. Although the brothers and sisters in Caloocan were few in number, I felt they had a really pure heart of God. I was able to see what it’s like to do ministry in the Philippines and the struggles that they face. There were many outside factors that affect how stable they can be with meetings. I met a sister, Ate Prosy, and I really treasure her heart for God. She shared with us that her daughter, Princess, would often ask her why brothers and sisters don’t visit them as much compared to other places. She could only answer by saying they need to trust in God’s plan. She believed about 20 years ago while working in Hong Kong, yet she has been able to keep the same fervent heart for God. When she shared to us, I felt her struggle and how great the need there is. She said she would never forget the time we were there and neither will I.
In Las Piñas, I experienced the warmth of God’s family. On our way there, had arrived earlier than Frankie, so we weren’t sure if we would be able to get into the meeting place. It was late at night and it was raining. Unexpectedly, when we arrived, Koy Koy and Kristine were there to welcome us and open the door for us. We were only there for about 2 days, yet the brothers and sisters there were so warm and sweet to us. They took such good care of us and even too initiative to talk to me even I didn’t.
