In the Philippines camp, one thing I learned was how to have a true friendship with God. When we say we pray to God, it feels more formal and distant from him. I learned/erased the concept that I need to filter anything or keep anything from Him. He loves us and loves to hear our voices even when we use them to complain to him. When I remember this, much closer to him during draw near to God time and throughout the day.
