During our trip to the Philippines' island of Isabela, our team and I experienced great satisfaction from helping the local brothers and sisters. We would visit local schools and do many activities with them. The activities were simple and fun! One of the activities I was helping with was balloon twisting. When I saw the children’s smiles when they saw their very own balloon bear, I felt my spirit was lifted higher. Many local brothers and sisters were very loving towards us. During my first house visits, the local sisters would cook and prepare a large amount of delicious food for us. When I saw all the food, I would think of my family. I would be reminded that this is really God’s family.

During the camp we learned a lot about how to have better personal time. One of the time that I fondly remember was during the second week at Tuao city. That morning I woke up earlier than usual, I used this opportunity of having extra time to join near to God for a longer time which was like nothing that i have experienced before. Usually i wake up 45 mins before morning team time to have my personal time. However that one day in Tuao I wanted to wake up earlier becuase I felt that I wanted to have more personal time with God. I believe I felt this way because Anthony reminded me the importance of a good relationship with God.
