Before going to Vancouver, I felt my spirit wasn’t in the best condition. I didn’t feel I was very close to God and it took more time and effort for me to have experiences with Him. Going into the camp, I felt I really needed and wanted a deep experience with God to reignite the fire within my heart. With this renewed desire, I approached every meeting and worship differently than I would back in SV. Not only was my desire stronger, but so was my daily discipline. Every day, we joined phone sings together, and then had personal time, team time, and more worship/fellowship together. In this way, my spirit had more “warm up time” and I was more active.

One specific worship I enjoyed was when we went deep into the Blood of the Lamb. During that worship, I realized more deeply the pain and suffering the Lord went through for me. I imagined how He needed to use strength even to take a breath, and how the sponge of vinegar and wine wasn’t a kind act, but another thing that caused Him pain. During that worship, I really felt how much He must’ve been committed to me to be willing to endure that pain. He is God, and He could have chosen any other path to save us, yet He still went to the cross for me. I felt His heart for me is so steadfast and committed, and I’m forever indebted to Him. This was when I felt very deeply that I wanted to commit back to Him too. I felt there is no other way for me to repay Him than to dedicate my life and my heart to Him.
