From Receiving to Blessing

I enjoyed this camp so, so much and I’ll miss everyone and everything from this camp. Initially, I didn’t think much about this camp since usually, I’d go on mission trips thinking I would be the one receiving blessings, but it was the opposite this time. Instead, I went thinking to also bless the youths and many more that are in Vancouver.
Beforehand, I felt my condition wasn’t so stable. I was very laid-back because I didn’t have the motivation to draw near to God. I didn’t find that enthusiasm or happiness inside me anymore even though I knew that it was good for me. After I graduated and summer hit, I was able to slowly bring myself back, bringing myself closer and closer to God and brothers and sisters. I felt like I was returning to better condition thanks to the summer day camp.
Reflecting on the mission trip, I'm thankful not only for having the daily schedule, but also for the support of brothers and sisters. But more importantly, I feel content throughout the day because I put the Lord first and do many tasks with Him. I felt this was good for me, good for my spirit, and I wanted to keep this for my daily life. In our last Friday night meeting, I told the Lord I want to keep drawing near to Him no matter what. I was reminded of different situations that may hinder me from wanting to draw near to Him, but I pushed them aside, and told Him, “No matter what I face, I will draw near to You.”
I want to continue to pursue, improve, and bless the churches in San Jose and San Francisco. We will follow a good daily schedule and pray for San Jose and San Francisco’s great revival!
