Being Set Free in Worship

During the Vancouver camp, I felt I was able to grow a lot spiritually, from the phone sing in the morning till the board games at night. The morning phone sings were very important for me to learn how to live a daily life. I gained a much better sleep schedule. I used to stay on my phone or computer till midnight. However, the 7 am global phone sings required me to have a good night's sleep and an early wake up. The phone sings helped me start my very first moment in the morning with worship and with God. In the phone sing, we sing hymns and pray. We also have wonderful sharings from brothers and sisters from all over the entire world! I also learned about Abba’s personal love toward me. This small change was able to greatly impact my personal time. I deliberately took more time with God in the morning; I walked with God, talked to Him, and I feel that I now have much more enjoyable personal time with God every morning back home.
Even as I worshiped with other brothers and sisters for the morning team time, I would still be able to keep that condition. I learned how to push past my fears and to rely on God to help me not be afraid of what others might think of my prayers. I felt this helped me throughout my time at the camp and even back home. It helped me be very natural when worshiping God. For example, when I had something I wanted to say to God, I would say it! I wouldn't need to think whether or not brothers and sisters will judge. Because of these different practices, I was able to exponentially grow towards God.
One of the last things that I felt was very helpful for me was the scheduling, especially the self-arrangement times. Self-arrangement is time that we can have to ourselves to do “whatever” we wanted. This time is very important because we need to know what we want to do, to be lucid when making decisions about what to do. For example, if I wanted to wash my clothes, I wouldn't wash them randomly on a Tuesday afternoon if it wasn't planned. This helps my mind so that it doesn't wander around and follow unpredictable emotions. All the times I have spent working towards helping myself to arrange my time better have been crucial back home. It has been especially useful as I start college. I don't have a lot of classes, which means I have a lot more free time than I am normally used to. However, I am able to plan and arrange my time much more effectively.
